I am showing my daughter today something we had in my family for generations. That is, how I enjoyed tea time when I was a little girl. When I was about her age, I used to enjoy my 3pm tea time with my grandmother every day. My grandma would make herself a cup of black coffee and a hot Milo for me. She will took out some crackers from biscuits tin and place it in front of us. Then, we both will be doing the same thing, that is crack the crackers into half and dunk it into our drink. Oh so satisfying.
I know this is also the Malaysian way of eating plain crackers. Tell me, how many of you enjoying this when you are young? And, how many of you, that your children are enjoying the crackers this way?
This was not a tradition when I was growing up, but it really sounds like a nice thing to do with my grandchildren and daughters now! Very good way to connect.
