Bamboo Rice - Lemang

I would like to share with you the bamboo rice stalls I visited during my trip to East Coast last month.  It was my first time seeing the making of Lemang (bamboo rice), and it is Malaysia heritage food, so I thought it would be interesting to share in my blog.

These stalls are along the road side from Kemaman to Terengganu.  I heard from friends, this place (Kijal Kemaman) is the most famous Lemang in Malaysia. I took the opportunity stopping by the stalls and tried some.  It was so delicious to eat it plain, some people like it with curry or kaya though.  As you can see in the pictures, Lemangs are arranged on the side of hot stoves to be cooked for 30 minutes.
