When you are sharpening your kids' color pencils next time, collect the pencils shavings for some art and craft fun instead of discarding it. This was what we made, a secret garden blossoming wooden flowers with all sort of colors.
Pencils Shavings Flowers
Materials:
color pencils
sharpener
glue
Steps:
1. collect shavings when sharpen the color pencils.
2. glue the pencil shaving on paper and draw the flower branch and leaves.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe you beat me to making something with pencil sharpenings!!! I couldn't believe my eyes!!! I was thinking of adding mine (they are from an electric sharpener and are much finer) to my homemade paper! The bits of color and added texture would be really cool! If I do it, I will blog about it...on of these days!
