I love to share with you my pin box. I had this since I started my first sewing project. You know, as mother, we are always extra careful with needles and pins when there are toodlers at home. Therefore, I thought of an idea of placing the magnetic strips at the inside base of the metal box. So, if I were too careless and drop the box on the floor, I don't have to shout and panic!
I was skeptical to share after I made it. As I thought the point of pins will get rusty after placing them together with magnet for a long time. But I was wrong, the points are still sharp and clean as before. I am interested to know from you, how do you keep your sewing tools away from kids?
I keep all my sewing supplies in baskets on shelves that are hard to reach. The drawback is that when I want to sew I have to get everything out and put it away when I'm not sewing.
