Let's Make Red Cushion Covers

What is happier than seeing decorations in red everywhere this month? I use this piece of cute hippos fabric bought from Ikea to make two cushion covers. Why buy, when you can just make one in 30 minutes?

Envelope Back Cushion Cover
Materials:
front fabric: 40cm X 40cm
back fabric: 2 pieces, 36cm X 40 cm, and 18cm X 40cm

Steps:
1. sew 2 cm hem on a side of 36cm fabric, and 2cm hem on a side of 18cm fabric.
2. place back pieces on top of front piece with the right sides together and the raw edges aligned.
3. there should be slightly overlapping for the back pieces and the larger piece of back piece is on top of all pieces for making an envelope back cushion cover.
4. sew all four sides together.
5. fold the right way out. Sew along all sides to make a small border, about 2cm. This is optional, I sewed the side border as I wanted the ragged edges of fabric is neatly enclosing in the seam.
