Bought some beautiful red fabrics and sewed two skirts for Amanda last weekend. I use the same template here. I added two lines of ribbons to decorate the hem. I guest the most rewarding thing for me after completion the project is to hear Amanda saying things like: 'Wow, so beautiful', 'I love it so much', 'thank you ma-ma for making me new skirt', 'Kakak, see my skirt,my mummy made for me'.

wow!! super cute.. love the ribbon trims!! matching blouse next..? :D
ReplyDeleteMyBotanG: my sewing skill is not as pro as yours. Can you share tips on simple sleeveless dress making?
ReplyDeletepretty strawberry fabric ya....nice skirt too...
ReplyDelete你的女儿很幸福,那个车衣服给孩子的妈妈在我们这一代差不多要绝种:)
ReplyDeleteJesslyn: you are also pro in sewing. I only use the 'agak-agak' method.
ReplyDelete臭虫: I am just an ordinary mother. There are lots of mothers out there with good sewing skills. This skirt template is easy for beginner like myself. It may take days to sew a skirt, you will know it worth when you see the smile on her (your daughter) face.
Jess - I have never tried making any piece of clothing from scratch.. seriously.. i only at this moment dare do refashionning using my girl's old clothes.. i just dont have the confidence (plus no time with all the bag making and quilting..)
